Unsweetened coffee for breakfast and jam with evening meal, this finishes the jam. Beans were mixed through the rice for all meals and were quite a welcome addition.

Understand the stock of beans is sufficient to last for 12 days. Also had a fairly good vegetable stew morning and evening.

It is interesting to note that one of the guards told one of the Officers who speaks a bit of Japanese that talks going on between Russia, Japan and America, and that Russia has told Japan they have either to give in within two months or ----------

Another interesting bit we heard on return to camp was that Japan had now agreed to all the points laid down for peace.
