Another alarm last night. Not too good on the farm as it rained most of the morning, so got a good soaking as we were made to work in the rain.  Fortunately the sun came out in the afternoon and we dried out. The rumour has cropped up again that

Bread has stopped again owing to the yeast going bad. Sweetened coffee for breakfast. The broken pieces of chocolate with raisins, flour and milk were mixed up into a sauce for the evening meal and it was exceptionally good. The sirens were on the go all day today.

Sweetened coffee for breakfast. Had to hand in one blanket so it's a sure sign that some more people are expected. Got prune sauce with the evening meal and it was sure good also got two packets American cigarettes.
