BASHER the 2nd was on the go again this evening; he gave everybody in one of the rooms a pretty hefty beating up, so much so that two of them passed out (Ractliffe and Fortt). Ractliffe, the Hut Chief, got the worst of it and was, in addition, put in the Cells. He was let out about 9 o/c given another beating and taken to hospital.

It is probably worth noting that the Guards we have here are from 195 Regt and are, in the main, a pretty bad crowd in their dealings of PoWs.
