Another 200 Red + parcels have been opened and the items for release extracted. About 1 1/2 tons of onions came into Camp so we should be in clover for the next few days provided the Japanese don't take too many of them out of the Camp.

The most interesting piece of news is that the Camp Commandant and some of the guards (probationary soldiers, not much more than boys) are being exchanged, and lastly, it is rumoured that cigarettes are being issued tomorrow.

Another late rumour is that the Russians have issued an ultimatum to the Japanese that if they do not agree to the Allies Terms by the 15th June, they will declare war on them.
