Another alarm last night.
Sweetened coffee for breakfast. Cheese sauce with evening meal also 40 Japanese cigarettes.
A few Officers got beaten up by one of the Guards (Yamnio) on the farm today. They reported the matter to the Commandant on return to Camp and he, in turn, gave them a few slaps across the face for their pains.
The Sirens were going all the morning and the explosions in the far distance were something terrific.
According to the newcomers, a magnetic mine dropped just outside their cookhouse during one of the raids without exploding. The PoWs were employed in digging it out.
During the 13th and 14th June, No. 2 Camp NAGASAKI lost about 150 killed and 200 injured during an air raid and bombardment from the sea.
